The new update includes emergency road closures, updates reported by users via MapSure™ during the month of June and other improvements. So if you submitted a street or address change in June via MapSure, it’s now available!

You can download the free update directly from your device via mobile web or WiFi, here’s how:
CoPilot Live Premium and Standard Customers
- Go to MyCoPilot > News & Updates and tap “MapSure Map Update Available for Download”
- Tap the orange Install button at the bottom of the message. You do not need to restart to begin using the new map data.
CoPilot Live v8 Customers
- Go to MENU > Updates and tap “Check for Updates”
- After the download is finished, make sure to completely restart CoPilot Live to ensure the update is complete. If you do not restart, you will not see the new map data.
If you prefer to have your device check for these monthly updates automatically:
- Go to MENU > Updates and select the “Check for Updates When CoPilot Starts” option and tap OK

Are also planned map updates for Europe region?

I have a problem with CoPilot, and that is outdated mapping (by outdated i mean mostly rural; main roads are up to par in northeast) most of the other problems are also because of map data such as junction view and lane assist you can see the difference between USA and Euro. Euro obviously has better map data
also:
Besides small bugs the only one that peeves me is that “pedestrian mode” has to be on a road cause you snap to it; this makes the parking locator useless in parking lots
Suggestions:
1. Make volume bars for voice and music seperate or make the vocie louder (id really like the no fading feature to work for me cause I dislike that all other apps are forced fade)
2. And I beg; please update the map; half my town wasnt updated when i submitted my mapsure corrections and in fact non of anything i submitted made it to the update.
3. Add simple music controls
4. Fix parking locator

I uderstand that Mapsure is only handling the actual maps for North America and therefore cannot address POI changes or updates. When we see problems or errors for POI to whom should these be sent? An example that I am aware of is a large nationwide chain where some long-standing locations were deleted from the POI, probably unintentionally, and it would be nice to see those back.

That is correct, we license our POI data from InfoUSA; therefore we cannot guarantee that the missing/incorrect POI will be corrected. Although, you can submit POI issues through MapSure and we will submit them to InfoUSA to fix. Since the fix is under the discretion of InfoUSA we cannot guarantee it will be fixed or include it in our 45 day guarantee.

The update service seemed not good so I stopped it…was not informed about this add on. Copilot will now not find map directory…Can‘t find any support or solution on this issue. Anyone?

I have 2 of your products and find that you do not up grade the maps for Co-Pilot 11 for trucks and the PCM540 I use them simutaniously and both are wrong 80 % of the time. I have spent alot of money believeing in your ads but if things don’t get better I will change products and never invest in ALK products again.

You might want to consider downloading CoPilot Truck v8 for Laptop, this is the latest version of Copilot Laptop. This version contains the latest in map updates and POI information, plus it is fully compatible with Windows 7 (32bit and 64bit). CoPilot incorporates maps from the world’s leading providers of digital maps for Satellite Navigation Systems. We do use the most current version of the maps that we can, taking into account the time it takes to test the maps and release to market. However you may find that very new road systems are not contained within the data and can take upwards of a year before they reach each satellite navigation product.
