We’ve released a complete map update featuring our latest 2011 Q4 map data for all North America & USA CoPilot Live Premium iOS and Android customers.
This adds thousands of new miles of roads in the U.S. and Canada and hundreds of map improvements submitted by customers.
Here’s how to get the latest quarterly map update:
- For iPhone & iPad CoPilot Live Premium customers: You can download the latest free Quarterly map update via the latest application update in your iTunes. For North America customers: Version 9.1.0.269 and for USA customers: Version 9.1.0.296
- For Android CoPilot Live Premium customers: You can download the latest version of maps directly from your phone using CoPilot Live. Within the app, go to MyCoPilot > My Maps and you will receive a prompt that a new version of your maps is available. Click OK to begin the download.
****Please note the 2011 Q4 map data was available for Android customers in February 2012 so you may have already downloaded the new maps. We are simply reminding you it is available in case you haven’t taken advantage of it! If you’re not sure if you have the latest maps, in your CoPilot app go to Settings> About CoPilot Live. In the second box you should see Data: GRD_ALK.NA.2011.04.5.31.6.1, this means you have the latest 2011 Q4 map data.

Just tried this and wasn’t offered any new maps.
What is the version number for this map update?

I apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing. If you have an iPad or an iPhone you will want to download the latest update through your iTunes. If you are a CoPilot Live Premium USA customer the latest version number is 9.1.0.296. If you are a CoPilot Live Premium North America customer the latest version is 9.1.0.269.
If you are an Android customer the version number is 9.1.0.269. However, the update is an in-app update. You just go to MyCoPilot > My Maps.

My current version is 9.1.0.283; 9.1.0.296 is newer, no?
Are version numbers not consistent between market and nonmarket products?

Yes, the build versions do differ between market and non market products. You currently have the correct version number.
To make sure you have the latest map data, can you go to Settings-> About CoPilot Live and verify that in the 2nd box titled Data you see GRD_ALK.NA.2011.04.5.31.6.1?
Perhaps it would make more sense to keep CONSISTENT version numbers regardless of the venue of purchase? That will keep confusion to a minimum and eliminate queries such as mine.

I also purchased Copilot directly from ALK and the map update is not being offered on my Android via MyCoPilot > My Maps.

Ok, so the announcement was not for the monthly update which we were expecting in Apr.
Are you sure about the version number for android? My installation is 9.1.0.269 with no updates available and there are no updates in either news & updates or maps.

No, the last software update was a week or two ago for active traffic. Did someone possibly upload the wrong file to the hemorrhoid store? data is 04.5.31.6.1.

The ActiveTraffic was an application update, not a map update.
Can you please provide the full data information in About CoPilot so I can verify you have the 2011 Q4 Map data?
It is good that you have since updated the information in the topic Free Quarterly Map Update for all CoPilot Live Premium Customers to indicate that this really is just a reminder about the February 2012 update for the 2011 data. In light of the confusion it might be a good idea to make a definitive statement that there will be a forthcoming quarterly update later in May 2012 since the same format as announcing new map replacements was used to remind users of the old map replacement.

Where is the iPhone update? The app store shows the current version as 8.2.0.836.

Is there going to be a monthly map update? Last one was for February 2012 changes and was posted as available on March 19, 2012 or just about 8 weeks ago.
I’ve emailed them numerous times with this question as I submitted changes in March. So far they have just ignored my repeated emails. So much for the Mapsure guarantee.
