Do the street names show up on the new iPad now? This was one of the issues with the last “super-super”, best upgade ever…no street names.
Hi Barry,
This was a bug for the CoPilot Truck v.8 app. By upgrading your app to the newest version of CoPilot Truck (in the blog post above ) you will no longer experience this issue. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you
Any idea when state mileage logs are returning. Its pretty huge removing them since it was such a big selling point and there are no real good alternatives available.
Hi Brian,
We’re currently working on the new and improved state mileage log feature for CoPilot Truck. We don’t currently have a specific date for release but please be assured that it is a very high priority for us and we will release it as a free update as soon as possible. We’ll keep you updated on our progress.
Thank you.
I really like the new CoPilot Truck, but I have a few questions/comments:
1) I miss the ability to show nearest city info on the map screen that v8 had.
2) Is the fuel prices option ever going to be enabled for CoPilot Truck v9 (diesel prices, obviously, when in truck mode, gasoline when automobile is selected)?
3) I also miss the option of just being able to select current city and state when using the Facebook comment option, as v8 had. Now it only gives check-in options for exact addresses/business names. I just want it also to have the option for just city and state.
4) I cannot seem to be able to setup CoPilot Truck v9 to work in Portrait Mode on my iPhone 4S. My previous version showed the option, which I disabled so it ran only in landscape, but now I do not seem to be able to revert that setting.
5) I would also like the ability to easily choose the toll options for routing each time a new route is entered. Version 8 had this capability (which could be disabled as well) but this version does not. It requires making changes to routing profile each time I want it to change from using tolls to avoiding tolls (or avoid if possible routing).
Thanks for all your hard work and keep up with the updates! We appreciate it!
Hi James
We’re glad you are enjoying your CoPilot Truck. To references your questions 1, 3 and 5. These are all CoPilot Truck v8 features/options that have either been modified or removed in the new CoPilot Truck version. For question 2, fuel prices are unavailable at this time, but we are planning include it in a future update. We appreciate your feedback and we’ll keep it in mind for future updates.
For your 4th question, the device settings may need to be modified on your iPhone to allow you to switch from landscape mode to portrait mode. You’ll need to double tap your home button, and then scroll over to the right. Then you should see an icon that adjusts the screen orientation of the device. Hope this was helpful for you, please let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.
When is this going to be available in the UK?
Any idea why copilot loses GPS signal so easy on asus 101 and 300. I know the 201 prime had GPS issues but not the 101 and 300. This app works for me about 50% of the time. Unistalling & reinstalling app and maps usually solves this issue. However that’s not always easy, considering data cost, driving in Canada with no Canada data plan, and you really need 4g for the 1.3 gig download. Plus this process takes two hours+ and that’s a pan in the but when your working 70 hours a week.
Hi Jon,
In most GPS cases the problem relates with the GPS receiver within the device itself, making it hard for us to really troubleshoot the issue. In regard to the download process, we highly recommend that you connect their device to WiFi during the download process. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you
i was just wondering when the new version will be ready for laptop, and also the past 2 weeks my copilot truck v8 for laptop wont do any updates when it connects to the internet i thought it was a problem with the software so i redownloaded the software and it still wont run updates, a box will pop up after checking for updates saying this action could not be completed.
thx
So today I was reading in “The Trucker Newspaper” that there is a new version of Copilot V8 and that existing copilot users can upgrade for free…… I have a couple of questions
1. is it also for the laptop version of copilot V8 ?
2. if so how can i upgrade to the new version?
I’m enjoying my version a lot. I’ve had this for about 2 years now. It has helped me out a lot with trip planning.
An idea for a future update would be to add in the truck stops that would be along our route , so we can plan where we can stop to take breaks or park for the night.
Thank you
