Here at ALK we spend a great deal of our time focussing on our mobile phone navigation products, and its easy to forget that CoPilot actually first came to market as a laptop sat nav system (the World’s first in fact). Although not available commercially in Europe, CoPilot Live Laptop has been popular in USA for many years, particularly among the RV community.
Now we are delighted with Dell’s announcement this week that their new Mini 10 Netbook will be available with integrated GPS and CoPilot Live navigation. Netbooks are all the rage these days, providing affordable and extremely portable mobile computing. It was only a matter of time before they started to incorporate GPS receivers, and with CoPilot Live onboard you get full voice-guided turn by turn navigation too. Initially the Mini 10 with CoPilot Live will be available in USA, and we will keep you posted about availability in Europe.

Congratulations to ALK on its CoPilot Laptop software being included by Dell on the new GPS-enabled Mini 10 netbook. Since “Netbooks are all the rage these days”, it would be nice to see ALK promoting its PC software a bit more
