It’s quite a common story; a pensioner visiting friends in an unfamiliar area manages to get lost. In this case, the gentleman was in a Sydney suburb out on a shopping trip - and he ended up in Melbourne, 370 miles (600 KM) away and 8 hours later.
Fortunately, he had his mobile phone with him so he was able to speak with his wife and with the help of Melbourne State Police, provide some indication of his whereabouts.
If he’d been equipped with CoPilot Live on that mobile then it might have stopped him missing that turn – and LiveLink™ might have alerted his wife earlier that he was somewhat beyond the immediate locale.
But in the end, it turned out okay as the pensioner in the article ‘Likes to drive’. However, friends and family might be thinking of making this year his ‘CoPilot Christmas.’

Actually, the gentleman must have had a brain fart, or be demented, its just not possible to get *that* lost and end up in Melbourne when you started in Sydney. The roads in Australia are well signposted.
