When will the windows version of co-pilot live 8 be updated to include:
* a qwerty keyboard
* live services such as traffic (Tom Tom’s HD Traffic is really good)
* other user recommended updates
?
P.S. What is this “There is a text-to-speech add-on”? Where do I find it?
And still no WinMo Australian CoPilot release despire promises of before XMAS …
You can buy CoPilot Live v8 with maps of Australasia here:
http://www.alk.eu.com/buynow/cart.asp?Action=AddItem&SKU=CP8-DIG-AUNZ-WEB
Thnaks – downloaded and installed and all working great …
Sounds like BS to me, we’ve been getting that for months from ALK, promises promises. Theres no text to speech in Copilot Central, in fact theres nothing in Copilot Central, except a bunch of maps………..that no body needs. Still no QWERTY keyboard for WinMo and still no live Traffic for the UK !!!!
Hi,
If you haven’t done so already, please install CoPilot Central v2.0.0.65 and carefully follow the instructions here:
http://www.alk.eu.com/support/copilot-support/copilot8-winmobile-update-en.htm
If you are logged in, then you should see a update available for Windows Mobile with the following changes:
1. Download voices over the air support
2. Text-to-speech support (Premium add-on available soon)
3. Traffic support (Premium add-on available soon)
4. Ability to mute ‘Welcome to CoPilot Live’ speech on start up
5. Fixed late turn instructions
6. Improved support for HVGA resolutions
7. Support Premium Live Services and Live services for users on Orange/ Vodafone (which blocks port 80).
8. Improved memory and performance
9. Map data download start, resume and pause functionality in place
10. Safety camera update over the air.
11. Support Australasia maps
12. Save destination upon exit, when user restarts, the route is recalculated to the destination again
13. CSV/ OV2 import working
14. Introduced just ahead warning – to be set by distance or by time before turn
Thanks,
Christian.
As useful as that post is Christian i think we’ve all managed to sucessfully install the latest version of CoPilot Central.
You fail to answer the question of how do we purchase Text-to-speech?
Or even if this is available for windows mobile users
Text-to-speech should be available via Central 2 very soon.
