Apple have quietly introduced a small but (to us at least) extremely welcome new feature to the app store: the ability to gift an app.
Previously it’s been possible to gift iTunes vouchers, albums and even individual songs, but now you can gift CoPilot Live’s full-featured satellite navigation directly to your iPhone-owning friends and family.
It’s the ideal birthday gift for the road warrior, commuter – or simply directionally challenged – people in your life.
How to gift CoPilot Live:
- Launch iTunes on a PC/Mac
- Select the relevant CoPilot Live App you wish to give (note you must buy the app from the recipient’s local app store)
- On the top left of the screen (just below the CoPilot Live icon) click the arrow next to the ‘Buy App’ button and select ‘Gift This App’.
You’ll then receive options to add a message and confirm the purchase before sending download details to the lucky recipient.
So if you’ve friends and family planning a getaway this spring break, why not give them the gift of a better journey with CoPilot Live?
