Updated maps are the No. 1 item on everyone’s Christmas wish list. So to help you drive home for Christmas and into the New Year, we are delivering a FREE map update to all of our CoPilot Live Premium Android, iPhone and iPad customers throughout Europe.*
The free update brings you the latest high quality street maps from our European map provider, NAVTEQ. In addition to improvements to the road network, it also significantly extends the number of roads on which CoPilot Live’s speed limit alert service is available, providing on-screen and audible warnings if you stray over the local limit.
It’s easy download the updated maps. Here’s how:
For CoPilot Live Premium customers with single region maps (e.g. UK + Ireland) and Western Europe maps:
- 1. iPhone and iPad customers – Download the latest CoPilot app update (version 9.1.0.201) via WiFi from the App Store on your iPhone/iPad or through iTunes on your desktop.
- 2. Android smartphone and tablet customers
- a. If you purchased your CoPilot app on the Android Market, you can get our latest app update (version 9.1.0.203) from the Android Market.
- b. If you purchased your CoPilot app on the CoPilot Webstore, you can download our latest app update via this link (9.1.0.203).
** IMPORTANT: CoPilot Live Premium Europe app **
CoPilot Live Premium customers with Europe map version of the apps can now choose which maps to store on their device and download just the regions you actually need.
This will reduce the amount of storage space that CoPilot takes up on your device and will make installing future app updates much easier too.
Download once for unlimited driving
Once downloaded, the maps are stored on device as usual, so you can still use CoPilot Live without roaming charges when travelling abroad.
For more information about how to download your CoPilot Live Premium Europe maps, please click here.
*This map update does not apply to CoPilot Live v8 Windows Mobile, CoPilot Live Europe, CoPilot Live HD Europe and CoPilot Live Truck customers.

The version in Androidmarket is 9.1.0.161
Hi Knut, the single region apps have been updated (version 9.1.0.203), the PanEu and West Eu will be updated later today, around lunchtime, that’s why they still have the old version number (9.1.0.161)
I see the “updated” map still does not show the two new motorways in Glasgow. These are MOTORWAYS, not some unimportant side streets.
Before anyone replies that this is an issue for the map data providers, surely there has to be a means of communication from ALK to them? I have already submitted an issue report with the data provider, along with many other individuals I am sure, yet the map remains out of date by months. Is it unreasonable to expect that major road projects that have a known completion date YEARS in advance should be included in updates? Is it unreasonable to expect that the users of mapping data (i.e. ALK) should demand a better service on behalf of their own clients?
If I could know for sure that some other data provider had bothered to update their maps, I would switch to whatever satnav app they provide in an instant.
Not showing the two new motorways i Glasgow … why?
When did you get latest maps?
Did you check version of your “latest ” maps?
My maps are from 2010.3 so they were probably made back in 2009!
No update within app, and have tried to re-install some of my maps … no new maps!
ALK just promised that we will get a “free” map update … When? Where? How?
Hi
Just updated Android app to version 9.1.0.203 but no map update!
Please explain how to get this map update…
Thanks
Hi
Got it now … problem was:
1) You didn’t tell us that “first run screen” in CoPilot for Android have to be enabled in order to get notification!
2) Maps wasn’t updated yesterday when I removed and re-installed maps.
Go to Settings > Personification, enable start screen – Quit & Restart – Free Map Update banner should appear
Nice one Mittaa, folllowing your instructions brill and easy, now downloading the new maps as I type.
I downloaded the update on my iPhone, then when I launch the app I am prompted to download/choose the new maps
Thank you, really helpful advice. Shame the guys who made the software can’t be as helpful!
I am using a HTC android phone . I tried to download the new map upgrade. Did choose My Maps and selected the installed pan Europ map. clicked download, but nothing happened. The screen stays gray. Do I need to uninstall the existing map first?
Tried also the following: selected News and Updates. Also a gray screen and nothing happens.
Looked at the android market, but cannot find the map upgrade.
How do I install the map upgrade?
Look at my previous post
Ignore previous message. I found the way to do this. I had to go to the android market and to select Copilot Live Premium Update.
It’s been over four years since some of the roads were built here and still they don’t show on the map (unlike Google, where they do). I drive to work every week down a road that doesn’t exist!
Poor.
Hi Lawrence, are you sure you updated your maps? can you check the data set number in CoPilot : Main Menu> Settings>About CoPilot. If you got 3.2010 then you have the old maps
Hi.
I saw the offer on the welcome screen of my Copilot 9 and selected it. But nothing seems to download. I tried Mittaa’s method, no luck. The installed map (Pan Euro) shows 3.2010.03.2.7.1.1
How can I get the update? (By the way, the previous free map update, early this year, had a better design and went flawlessly).
Thanks.
None of the suggested solutions works! Hope Copilot support get this fixed!
Hi Flemming, what app do you have? which platform?
