We’re delighted to announce that CoPilot Live has been awarded App of the Year 2011 by Android Magazine. We’d like to take the opportunity to thanks our Android users and the staff at Android Magazine for supporting us!
And if you haven’t got your hands on the Android Magazine edition yet, here’s what it says about us:
“In a marketplace full of navigation apps, CoPilot Live stands out from the crowd”
Many developers will tell you it is hard enough getting people to pay for even low priced Android apps in great numbers, let alone those that cost around the £20 mark. The fact, then, that CoPilot Live has been installed in the top ten grossing apps on the Android Market pretty much permanently since its launch in the summer tells its own story. Even when every Android smartphone comes with a full, free navigation offering from Google, users in large numbers are still wanting to upgrade to the best navigation experience on the platform.
This is one reason why we’ve picked CoPilot Live as our App of the Year – it’s a welcome reminder that people will pay for quality. The other reason is that CoPilot Live delivers quality in abundance.
The CoPilot brand has more than a decade of experience behind it, and it shows. It offers the best routing engine you’ll find on any GPS app, always able to pick out the most realistic routes for your journey, and presents your directions in the clearest way, through a combination of safety screens, lane assistance views and excellent voice directions. It’s easy to use, and offers a variety of ways of finding a destination, including a powerful local search feature, while the ability to upgrade the app further ensures it is right for all levels of user. The success of CoPilot Live on Android is a clear statement of its quality, and it is a worthy choice of our App of the Year.”

When are you going to sort out the problem of the default route being usually both the longest distance and takes the longest time than the other two alternatives? I came from WM6.5 CP8 which worked great most if not all of the time but with Copilot Live Premium nearly 50% of the time the first choice is a bad choice. This has been all over your forums for 6 months. Have all your programmers gone? Surly it can’t take more than an hours programming to make sure first choice is shorter (and/or) takes less time than the other two choices? Can we have an answer ALK?
Hi John, we’re constantly working on improving the routing options of the app. We introduced in the last update the shortest vs fastest selection that should increase the optimization of your itinerary.
Good luck with that. I’m an unintentional customer. My son accidentally installed copilotlive europe & I’ve been trying for a week to get someone to talk to personally by email/phone. I have been stonewalled on every front. The only response I’ve gotten has been on social media patronizing me by saying someone will be in touch with me “soon”. Never have I experienced such an unwillingness by a company to provide basic customer care.
Hi Hannah, our customer support did reach you and I have confirmation that they refunded you with the due amount.
This app is great for occasional use but if you are a professional driver looking for a reliable solution don’t waste your money on it. This app will jam up just when you need it most and the technical services dept will send you patronising emails telling you to re-install the software, usually without actually reading your email to find out what the problem was in the first place.
Live traffic info is regularly completely wrong and the routing is appalling!
The only reason anyone would ever buy co-pilot is because TomTom have neglected to make an Android app even though they have already released one for iPhones. Co-Pilot is poor alternative to TomTom
