APP UPDATE: CoPilot GPS for Android

We’ve just released the first free app update for CoPilot GPS Android customers.

This is the first of many exciting updates to come. This new update (version  9.1.5.79)  brings useful fixes and enhancements, including:

  • We now highlight the segment of the route that corresponds to each turn instruction as you cycle through the turns in the free map viewer mode
  • Southern Africa is now available to download as your one free map region or to purchase as an additional map region
  • Fixes a bug affecting safety camera integration (requires full turn-by turn-navigation)
  • Various performance and stability improvements
  • Minor improvements to the My Maps user interface to make map downloading & purchasing of additional map regions even easier
You can download the latest app update (version 9.1.5.79)  immediately through Google Play. DOWNLOAD NOW!
**For CoPilot GPS iOS customers – don’t worry, your update is coming very soon. Thank you for your patience!

We are constantly working to improve all of our CoPilot apps and as always, appreciate your feedback. Post a comment and let us know how we can make CoPilot GPS even better!

There seems to be no link available either through CoPilot itself (News and Updates) or via Google Play to upgrade from 9.1.0.307 to 9.1.5.79. Suggestions please.

In the next update can you include the compass again, it was useful in version 8.

    Regards
    Steve

“Fixes a bug affecting safety camera integration (requires full turn-by turn-navigation)”

What was the bug? And just to be clear, I presume this means safety camera alerts (still) only work if you have a route programmed in? If so, would be good to have the alerts work when free driving routes you know well enough.

Ref the query above…when you do an update in Google Apps (Android) the update will be downloaded. The next time you launch CoPilot it unpacks and installs as part of the launch. This from a user…but it worked fine (and first time) for me as usual.

I want to be able to update my app via my phone using app’s own download and update section. I don’t want to follow up Google Play Store…

Have been using NDrive for the last 3 years and have been happy until I changed to a galaxy S3 then couldn’t update all my maps. They refused to answer my several requests for help.
Maybe they have done me a favour as I have tried several other gps programs but I am really enjoying Co pilot the best. Keep up the good work
    A couple of questions though
I am in New Zealand, and the maps seem about 2 years out of date. Especially the changes to the motorway system through Central Auckland urgently need sorting
Also is it necessary to show the route you have already travelled on. I have been confused with a couple of times by that. Maybe a different colour would be great.
I have downloaded Australia, and do New Zealand maps and soon will be using it in the UK. Once purchased are your map updates free?

Got fed up with the GPS uograde. After 3 hours I gave up trying to install it as it crashed itself, hung the phone and didn’t seem to be able to integrate with copilot
